The Living Room Founder: Founder and Honorary Life President: Mrs Janis Rogers MBE In the late 1990s, Janis Rogers, an addiction worker at a residential rehab project, envisioned a groundbreaking approach to addiction recovery—a welcoming, community-based day treatment centre. Driven by her passion, Janis spent a year tirelessly fundraising and rallying support, and in May 2000, her vision became a reality with the founding of The Living Room. Since then, countless individuals have found hope and lasting recovery through TLR’s unique approach. Though Janis retired in 2016, her dedication to our mission lives on. The trustee board, CEO, staff, volunteers, partners, clients, and supporters continue to carry forward her legacy, working together to ensure The Living Room remains a beacon of hope for those seeking recovery.
